Mac Rigdon is the survey manager for Grant Shepherd and Associates, Inc. He is in charge of the field crews and is the project manager of surveys. He starts with writing up the job requested by the client, and then does the necessary research required for the type of job; he then schedules the field work and gives the client a time line when field and/or office work will be complete. He prepares the crew with the information needed to complete the job so that top quality, efficiency, time line and the budget is reached. He then oversees all field calculations, procedures, and time sheets to ensure quality control from field crews. Mac draws the appropriate type of survey, i.e. subdivisions, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, utility surveys, tree surveys, etc. and contacts the client for quality control.
